
Herbal Vinegars

Now is the time to start making Herbal Vinegars for Holiday gifts or to use yourself!!
What you need are clean and fresh herbs from your garden or the store
Wash and dry the herbs — pick as many as you can
Buy a gallon of grocery store vinegar - empty out the vinegar into a bowl — take out top 1/3 or so
Now push the herbs into the bottle - you can cut them up but you don’t have to
Pushing them in releases the oils
Now top off container with the vinegar you saved
If you use purple basil or chive blossoms you will get a nice pink color .. if not no worries
Herbs I use are
Basil Dill
Mixed Herb
Cilantro
Jalapeño
And ………the possibilities are endless
Put aside for 6 weeks
Then pour through strainer/ cheese cloth
And put in pretty bottles - .. seal and label
